I am interested in providing a sensory, haptic experience by focusing on the worn nature of my subjects, which usually carry a strong visual weight. I find these subjects in landscape, urban, industrial or architectural contexts. They also reflect my idea of beauty, which is characterized by roughened or cracked surfaces that speak of life and the passage of time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-47cc99dd9559876234c42387e33f143f\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">I often contrast my subjects with lighter elements such as light itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I used to work a lot with analog photography, as I felt its reliance on physical processes and artifacts added to the materialistic feel of my work. But I came to realize that a photo should not be defined by the way it was taken. So what you see is a mix of analogue and digital photography, taken with pretty much everything from smartphones to large format.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My photography aims at conveying the material nature of my subjects.
